Each Brush is coded with a colored dot on the end of the handle.
- Black dot: for cleaning vents on ITE instruments.
- Blue dot: for cleaning battery compartments
- Brown dot: for cleaning vents and earpiece tubing
- Red dot: for cleaning mic openings and hearing instruments
- Tan dot: for cleaning 3mm and 4mm tubing and delicate parts
- White dot: for cleaning hearing instruments and battery contacts
- Yellow dot: for cleaning small vents
